Andrea C. Charif

ACCh_profileAndrea C. Charif was a Ph.D. student in the Department of Polymer Science at the  University of Akron. In March of 2009, she obtained a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogota, Colombia. She joined Dr. Puskas’ group as a Ph.D. candidate in December of 2009.

Her research interests included the use of block copolymers in lithium ion battery technology, to overcome the efficiency barriers relate with the charging-discharging cycles, as well as application of the flexoelectric properties of Bent-core Liquid Crystal Elastomers.

She obtained her PhD in January 2015 and currently she’s working for the 3M Company.
